What the score measures
Recognised-skill coverage against the posting (the biggest weight), general keyword overlap, standard section structure, contact details, action-verb strength and how many of your lines carry measurable results.
What it cannot measure
Every employer configures their system differently, and some screen entirely by hand. This checker cannot see your PDF's visual formatting, and no tool can promise you will pass a specific employer's screen. Treat the score as preparation, not prophecy.
The rule that matters most
Only add a “missing” skill if you genuinely have it. Keyword stuffing with skills you cannot demonstrate collapses at the first interview question — and can get an application discarded for dishonesty.
